Storrington Dramatic Society
We are an amateur dramatic society based at the foot of the South Downs in Storrington, West Sussex. We generally put on three shows a year, in March, June and a December pantomime – A mix of comedy, farce, crime thriller, Whodunnit, and well-known straight plays. Our members are a range of ages, from early teens to “twilight teens” and take on a whole kaboodle of roles – on stage and off stage!
Jack and the Beanstalk
Dec 2nd – 5th 2026
Young Jack; his ‘daft-as-a-brush’ brother, Silly Simon; and his long suffering mother, Dame Trott, live in a tiny cottage in the shadow of the terrible giant, Blunderbore. With the rent overdue they have no choice but to sell their beloved cow, Daisy.
After tricking the Trotts into selling her for a bag of worthless beans, the villainous giant’s henchman Fleshcreep kidnaps the Princess for his master’s supper.
Will Jack be able to rescue Daisy and Princess Jill in time?
Perhaps those beans aren’t as worthless as they first seemed…
This ‘GIANT’ adventure is the pantomime you’ve BEAN waiting for!

Who are Storrington Dramatic Society?
Firstly a warm welcome to new and returning guests, we’re happy to see you and glad you came!
Storrington Dramatic Society are a group of people who like to entertain, create and share their love of the stage (and backstage) with you, the audience. We put on a number of productions throughout the year, and a pantomime at Christmas.

Where do you meet?
When we have a show in the making we meet every Tuesday and Thursday between 7.45pm and 10pm at Sullington Parish Hall, Storrington, West Sussex RH20 3PP. If you’re interested in getting involved in any way – front or back stage, then we’d love to see you for a cuppa!
